Kelly is a manager and subject matter specialist at Deloitte’s Center for Integrated Research. She focuses on cross-industry themes and trends, specifically behavioral economics and leadership implications within organizations. Prior to joining Deloitte, Gina was chief research officer at JD Power, a McGraw-Hill Company, where she served as a voting member of the JD Power Executive Committee. She has shared her knowledge by authoring papers for multiple publications in both industry and academic journals, speaking engagements, and interviews. Gina holds a PhD in Applied Social Psychology from Loyola University in Chicago, a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Edinboro University, and is a licensed clinical psychologist.
Barb has more than 27 years of professional experience providing services to large multi-national corporations through a variety of leadership roles and is currently the Vice Chair and Leader of the U.S. Consumer and Industrial Products Industry. Based in Minneapolis, Barb directly provides services to a variety of consumer and industrial product clients focusing on their regulatory environment, supply chain, technology and processes, and other business issues/opportunities. Vikram’s primary interests are in emerging exponential technologies with a medical twist. He has shifted gears from a heavy focus on research, product design, and product development towards tech strategy. Vikram earned a BS and MSE in Biomedical Engineering and a BS in Applied Math & Statistics from Johns Hopkins University, and also is a registered patent agent. Michelle leads many of Deloitte’s Manufacturing Competitiveness research efforts as part of her role as the Manufacturing Leader for Deloitte’s Center for Industry Insights. She is an accomplished professional with 15 years of strategic and operational experience, having worked directly in the automotive industry as well as currently serving as an advisor to global manufacturing executives. She and her team have worked on a number of efforts that explored the future trends impacting the manufacturing industry, from the boardroom to the shop floor. She has most recently authored multiple research studies on the topic of manufacturing competitiveness which have explored strategies for driving growth and high value job creation through manufacturing industry sectors, as well as helped facilitate constructive dialogue and collaboration between business leaders and public policy-makers regarding manufacturing competitiveness, the role of government, and the path to prosperity for countries as well as companies.
Michelle is currently leading a pro-bono study for Deloitte and the Council on Competitiveness (‘Council’) titled Advanced Technologies Initiative: Innovation and Manufacturing. As part of this initiative, Deloitte and the Council engaged dozens of Fortune 1000 CTOs and manufacturing innovation leaders, as well as nearly a dozen US National Laboratory / broader research facilities, in a dialogue to identify the most promising technologies currently under development within the US as well as determine executives’ perspectives well as determine perspectives on what challenges are most critical to US manufacturing competitiveness moving forward. As part of that effort, she has briefed many key stakeholders throughout the nation, including briefing the bipartisan senate competitive caucus on Capitol Hill. Michelle is also currently working on a Cybersecurity in Manufacturing study with MAPI (Manufacturers’ Association for Productivity and Innovation) that looks at cyber issues for Manufacturers from the boardroom to the shop floor. Michelle has also developed studies in conjunction with The Manufacturing Institute and The National Association of Manufacturers on manufacturing talent issues, including women in manufacturing, the skills gap in US manufacturing, and public perception of manufacturing.
As part of the manufacturing competitiveness research efforts, she is also driving Deloitte’s joint research with the Council on Competitiveness to identify both critical drivers of competitiveness for nations and companies and the ranking of countries based on manufacturing CEO input from around the world. Michelle has worked with the World Economic Forum; on multiple year-long manufacturing research reports such as The Future of Manufacturing and Manufacturing for Growth projects.
